Art Party

Alhamdulillah, miss R turned 7 (wow, can't believe it).  As she is a little art lover, we decided to have her friends over at an art studio. When we went to check out the place, miss R did not want to paint instead she wanted to make a unicorn out of clay.  We went by that decision and let her friends choose whatever they wanted to make.

First we had a round of simple snacks.  I made chicken salad sandwiches, veggies tray, mixed fruits, juice, and for parents spinach pie, chips and dip. After the munching, kids were all ready to get started.

At Kidcreate Studio, we had 2 friendly art teachers who went step by step with the kids to create their beautiful creature!  It was wonderful to see them busy doing their creativity.

Miss R had her rainbow cake in front of her- the one that I made for the first time! Yup! until 1 a.m.!
I followed the recipe from youtube, I randomly picked Betty's kitchen. You can see it  here. I did a lemon buttercream frosting from here. The cake was a big hit. Kids loved all the colors in the cake. Moms and dads enjoyed it too.

The kids went home with their creativity as well as a small goody bag.

Alhamdulillah, it was a cute Art party and thank you kidcreatestudio for helping us out.

And finally, a family picture!
